Your Home for Holiday Fun
Last Updated: January 2025
Funhouse Camp provides non-residential school holiday activity camps. Sessions involve activities and supervision by staff who are all DBS-certified and are the main responsible adults during the session.
A Paediatric First Aider will be present at every session. By agreeing to these terms, you give permission for Funhouse Camp staff to administer first aid to your child should injury or illness occur, within their capabilities.
If your child requires prescribed medication (must have the pharmacy sticker attached), you must complete a 'permission to administer medicine' form at sign-in. Staff will not administer non-prescription medication except in exceptional, pre-agreed circumstances.
In the event of a serious accident where emergency contact cannot be reached, Funhouse Camp will call an ambulance and ensure the child is accompanied by an adult. You will be informed if an accident has occurred, with details entered into our accident log.
Your child must not attend if they have a fever, severe cough, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhoea in the past 24 hours. If your child becomes unwell during the session, staff will contact you immediately, and you are responsible for arranging the child's prompt collection.
All Funhouse Camp coaches have attended Safeguarding training. Any child protection issues will be referred to the Club Coordinator and, if necessary, the Funhouse Camp Safeguarding Officer, in line with statutory safeguarding guidelines.
Staff follow our Behaviour Management guidelines. Funhouse Camp reserves the right to ask a parent to remove a child without notice if the child's behaviour is unmanageable or has a negative effect on other children.
We require all children to be collected promptly at the scheduled time (4:00 PM for the standard day, 5:15 PM for extended care). A late pick-up fee will be charged immediately for any late collection and this must be settled before a child can attend any future camp days.
Important: If a child is collected late on three or more occasions, this is a breach of our terms, and we reserve the right to immediately terminate the child's enrollment without refund for any remaining days.
For the safety of the child, if a child is uncollected for more than one hour after closing, we are required to contact the Social Services Emergency Duty Line.
Parents must provide suitable clothing for all weather, including a raincoat, suncream, and a change of clothes. Children should wear trainers and must avoid flimsy footwear (e.g., sandals).
Children are not permitted to wear any jewellery for safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back.
All children enrolled are expected to be toilet trained, meaning they can use the toilet independently (including managing clothing and hygiene).
We understand occasional accidents happen; however, if a child has frequent accidents or is not effectively trained, we may request a meeting to discuss a solution. We reserve the right to cancel future days until the child is suitably trained.
We are committed to inclusivity and will work with families whose children have special needs affecting their toilet training. This must be discussed in advance.
We aim to resolve all complaints quickly. In the first instance, raise the issue with the Club Coordinator.
If the matter is not resolved, please put your complaint in writing to the Club Coordinator, including names, dates, times, and a description of your concern. We will acknowledge and investigate your complaint within 28 days.
